This Nob Hill residence explores adobe as a contemporary architectural language rather than a historic reference. Earthen structure is paired with interior design decisions that emphasize the flexibility of adobe as background textural depth to a contrasting stark modern overlay.
The project situates adobe within an urban Albuquerque context, translating traditional thick-wall logic into a modern spatial arrangement. Interior elements are treated as extensions of the earthen envelope rather than separate decorative systems.
